Job Purpose

This role provides Alodine and primed panels to the QC and RDI departments through metal preparation, chemical treatment, and spray application of coatings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares Alodine treated panels through metal sheet cutting, cleaning, trimming, chemical treatment.
• Maintains chemical treatment baths through chemical mixing, dilution, testing, and  hazardous waste handling.
• Sprays treated panels with various primers.
• Maintains chemical retain storage room.
• Prepares select panels to shipment to 3rd party for additional treatment.
• Prepares panels to ship to supply off site RDI.
• Other tasks including inventory management, ordering panels, reagents, packaging, receiving metals, and 5S.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for full 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to wear a full face respirator, rubber gloves, rubber apron for a full 8 hour shift.
• Must have good basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages.
• Must not have ITAR restrictions.
• Must be able to speak, read, write English.
 

Level of autonomy
Following training operator is largely autonomous in the role.  Operator will need assistance to place purchase orders from QC Team Leader for supplies and equipment.
