Job Purpose

A Production Planner is responsible for coordinating manufacturing schedules, materials, and resources to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and within cost targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity
• Coordinate with material planners, procurement, warehouse, production, logistics, customer service teams
• Track production progress and adjust schedules when delays or disruptions occur and communicate with customer service teams
• Analyze production data to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
• Work with quality assurance teams to ensure production standards are met
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing operations
• Manage work orders and production documentation in MRP systems

Experience

Required Skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
• Proficiency in Excel and MRP software (SAP)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
