Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of IT projects and programs in the IT department. The scope of projects focuses primarily on the portfolios Finance, HR, Legal & Integrity, Real Estate & Facilities.

Key Activities

• Create project plans including objectives, deliverables, time plan, budget & resources

• Build effective project team structures and recruit /assign project staff

• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues

• Deliver on time, within budget, with quality

• Guide, steer and motivate project team members

• Define and manage project objectives, deliverables, roles, planning and budget to successfully deliver projects

  • Champion the adoption of Agile scrum way of working

• Ensure compliance with respect to IT project methods, approaches, and project reporting

• Work with architecture to ensure that standards are implemented consistently in projects

• Promote best practice methods, approaches, and practices for project management

• Organize post project reviews contribute to improving project management capability

• Own the financials for their projects all the way including relevant administration and timely and accurate updates

Experience

 

  1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering or related field.
  2. 5+years’ experience in project management roles in IT organization.
  3. 3+ years of experience with Agile scrum way of working and/or DevOps setting for managing projects / epics
  4. Practical experience as a Scrum Master is a definite plus.
  5. 3+years’ experience in implementing niche SaaS solutions and integrating them in large scale organizations.
  6. General expertise in software development lifecycle and in integrations
  7. Broad understanding of applications, platforms, infrastructure and interdependencies  
  8. Excellent project management skills and a proven track record of successful delivery in IT projects.
  9. Excellent verbal and written English.
  10. Project Management Certification is a plus.
  11. Prior experience handling (delegated) financial responsibility in a project context is a plus.
  12. Knowledge of business processes in Finance, HR or other corporate functions is a plus.
  13. Prior exposure to Lean Six Sigma and/or any structured process improvement approach is a plus.
  14. Knowledge of the manufacturing/ process industry is a plus
