About the role
As a Senior Payroll & HR Operations Specialist, you’ll lead workforce administration from hire to retire and ensure accurate, on-time payroll delivery. You’ll resolve employee and manager cases within agreed SLAs, standardize HR operations, and act as a deputy to the Country HR Manager for operational workload and escalations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end employee life cycle administration, including hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, organizational changes, and HR data management.
- Prepare and issue employment contracts, letters, and memos aligned with business requests, local requirements, and internal standards.
- Run monthly payroll preparation, validation, and execution with an external vendor or payroll software support to ensure timely and accurate pay and benefits.
- Maintain employee records and keep HR systems and relevant third parties updated accurately and on time.
- Provide guidance on global and local HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across cases and transactions.
- Resolve employee and manager cases and queries within SLAs, communicating clearly and documenting outcomes.
- Handle complex or exceptional cases independently, partnering with Rewards, HR Managers, the Team Lead, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement by maintaining country-specific SOPs, supporting compliance and controls, and implementing policy updates into transactional processes.
Job requirements
- Relevant experience in HR operations and payroll delivery in a corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in English and Romanian, written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of local labor law and the ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures.
- Proven experience preparing, validating, and executing monthly payroll, including benefits-related activities and vendor coordination.
- Experience using HR systems and case management tools, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Strong customer service mindset with clear, confident communication across employees, people managers, and external partners.
- High attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and discretion when handling sensitive employee data in an international environment.
