Warehouse Operator 1 - Packer - 9:30AM to 6PM

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Operator – Packer to join our Waukegan manufacturing team. In this role, you will prepare finished products for shipment while ensuring orders are accurately packed, labeled, documented, and handled according to customer requirements and established procedures.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment where safety, quality, accuracy, and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack finished products for shipment according to established procedures and customer specifications.
• Verify the correct product, packaging configuration, labels, containers, cartons, and documentation are used for each order.
• Confirm product information, including revisions, manufacturing dates, expiration dates, and storage requirements.
• Mark and label hazardous-material shipments in accordance with applicable DOT, IATA, and IMDG requirements.
• Maintain accurate packing records, including order and box counts, shipment weights, and volume information.
• Support case-packing operations by loading containers onto conveyors, labeling boxes, packing products, and stacking finished cases.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Safely operate hand-powered trucks and other authorized material-handling equipment.
• Stage, consolidate, organize, and move materials throughout warehouse and storage areas.
• Follow established procedures for inventory control, material handling, and staging.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through good housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all site safety procedures.
• Participate in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental activities and training, including SAFE meetings and BBS activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and commitment to safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to safely push or pull 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 lbs. using appropriate material-handling methods and equipment.
• Ability to wear required respiratory protection.
• Manual dexterity necessary to perform packing and material-handling activities.
