Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to execute preventative, predictive, & corrective maintenance activities in support of achieving the highest levels of asset integrity as assigned by site management, the Maintenance Team Leader and Site Responsible Engineer.

Key Accountabilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AC & DC electrical power distribution systems up to 600 VAC.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AC & DC motor control systems including PLC’s, VFD’s, & motors.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair thermal oxidizer systems including system controls & auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair steam generation / distribution systems including system controls, feedwater, condensate, & auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and chilled water systems, including system controls & auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems including system controls, compressed air generation / treatment systems, and auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems including system controls & auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire protection systems (wet, powdered, & special agent) including fire / jockey pumps, controllers, water distribution system assets, and auxiliary support equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control / physical security systems including system controls,  operators, & auxiliary support equipment.
• Interface with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to perform all preventative, predictive, & condition based monitoring job duties.
• Interface with building automation system (BAS) to perform required job duties.
• Interface with supervisor control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to perform job duties.
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment within current company & plant standards.
• Perform any necessary plumbing, welding, or carpentry work as necessary.
• Safely operate powered hand tools & metal working machinery (i.e. machine tool equipment).
• Follow all company safety / plant / department safe work rules.
• Participate in Plant Safety Program and be an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team. Level of 

Autonomy:
Maintenance team members have a high level of autonomy & are expected to provide support to prioritized support requests / tasks as specified by the site management, the Maintenance Team Leader, and Site Responsible Engineer.

Job Requirements

Education requirements: 
Associate’s Degree (preferred), high school diploma, or GED.

Experience requirements:
Five year’s related maintenance experience in an industrial / chemical manufacturing plant environment.

Essential Skills:
Ability to: 
• Read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics.
• Perform Industrial Math.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, manuals, & equivalent.  
• Write simple correspondence.  
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, team members, site management, and corporate management.  
• Deal with ambiguity in written or oral instructions.  
• Apply diagnosis / troubleshooting / problem solving skills across a wide variety of applications.

Essential Abilities:
Must be able to
• Lift weight or exert force up to 50 pounds.  
• Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Certifications:
Forklift (powered industrial truck) certification or equivalent
Aerial work platform (scissor / articulating truck) certification or equivalent

Other Skills / Competencies:
Must be computer literate, capable of utilizing Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to demonstrate interpersonal / soft skills in interactions in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, team members, site management, and corporate management.

Working Conditions:
Normal work duties involves exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, & health hazards.  Required to wear appropriate personnel protective equipment (PPE) for execution of normal work duties, as required, including but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses / goggles, bump cap / hard hat, face shield, apron, gloves, FR clothing, FR suit, etc.

Work Schedule:
Normal work schedule is 5 or 6 days / week (Mon – Fri / Sat), 8 hour shifts, as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Site Responsible Engineer.

Must be able & available to work overtime as necessary including but not limited to weekends / holidays.
