Job Purpose

To perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and utilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The role supports equipment troubleshooting, engineering improvement projects, contractor supervision, and compliance with engineering and EHS standards while maintaining high equipment availability and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and utilities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic instrumentation failures.
  • Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
  • Execute maintenance activities in accordance with LOTOTO, Permit to Work, and HSE requirements.
  • Support engineering projects, shutdown activities, and contractor supervision.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation and update work orders through the maintenance system.
  • Support emergency breakdown response and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and company safety requirements.

Key Activities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance independently according to approved procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot common equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with production personnel during maintenance execution.
  • Escalate major equipment failures, safety concerns, and engineering modifications to the Engineering Manager.
  • Recommend improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Experience

Education

  • SMK Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, or
  • Diploma (D3/D4) in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Engineering Technician in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in chemical, paint, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing is preferred.

 

Technical Competencies

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capability.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Basic welding and fabrication.
  • Able to read electrical drawings.
  • Basic pneumatic and utility systems.
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting is an advantage.

Education

Education
