Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Latex, Resin, Polymer, Chemical or Process Manufacturing operations.

Strong knowledge of polymerization, reaction engineering, heat transfer and mixing technologies.

Experience with reactors, blending systems, dosing equipment, utilities and process control systems.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of SCADA systems, process monitoring and industrial automation

Experience in SAP and MS Office applications.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Result-oriented with strong ownership and execution mindset.

Job Description

Own and continuously improve the performance of the Latex/Resin production unit, including reactors, blending systems, raw material handling systems and associated process equipment.

Monitor and improve key process indicators such as yield, batch cycle time, reactor utilization, energy consumption, raw material efficiency, waste generation and OEE.

Monitor, maintain and continuously improve SCADA systems to ensure reliable process monitoring, data integrity, alarm management and operational efficiency within Latex production unit.

Lead investigations and root cause analysis for process deviations, quality issues, reactor upsets, batch failures and equipment-related process losses.

Provide technical support to operations teams during troubleshooting of reactors, agitation systems, heating/cooling systems, dosing systems and process control loops.

Identify, develop and implement process optimization projects to increase capacity, improve productivity, reduce manufacturing costs and enhance product quality.

Lead process standardization activities and establish best practices for latex manufacturing processes.

Support industrialization of new products, raw materials and process technologies in collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain and Engineering teams.

Evaluate and optimize reaction parameters including temperature profiles, feeding strategies, mixing conditions and batch recipes to improve process robustness and product consistency.

Initiate and support capital investment projects related to reactors, utilities, automation systems and process equipment upgrades.

Participate in commissioning, start-up and validation activities for new equipment and process modifications.

Ensure all process changes are managed through Management of Change (MOC) procedures and comply with safety, quality and environmental requirements.

Analyse production data and develop action plans to eliminate recurring losses and improve process capability.

Deliver technical training and knowledge sharing to production teams to strengthen operational excellence and process understanding.

Act as the site process technology owner for Latex and Resin manufacturing processes.  

Strong knowledge of how to apply in practice problem solving tools and statistical concepts (L6S – Green belt or beyond)
