Job Purpose

  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, complies with safety policies and procedures. Follows safe work practices for personal and equipment safety, in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment
  • Conducts a significant level of formulation and technical work in the lab as defined in the project plan, guides technicians in executing experiments
  • Documents lab results through appropriate means including laboratory notebooks, interim and full reports, project meeting minutes, and monthly summaries. When visiting customers, writes reports with corresponding action items
  • Spends significant time in the lab. Asks appropriate questions to clarify requirements, expectations and critical performance parameters
  • Is familiar with characterization techniques, e.g. mechanical and chemical techniques
  • Perform general lab assignments (e.g. Inventory Review, Lab house-keeping) as assigned

Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree or above with qualification of chemistry, polymer graduate from a reputed institute
•    0-2 years working experience in Coating industry for junior chemist,at least 2 working experiences for chemist
•    Familiar with IATF16949 knowledge and related 5 tools, APQP, DFMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP. Can support quality system work.
•    Advanced computer skills including office, database and statistics.
•    Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin
•    Innovative thinking, experimental data analysis.
•    Prepared to be transferred to any place within the BU if needed
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skill
•    Control the related major technology and get the definite quality management knowledge
•    Need to familiarize with the testing procedures quickly in order to follow the technical project independently as early as possible
•    Need to find solutions / resources to the problems in a scientific way during project implementation
