Job Purpose
To co-design, prepare, execute and analyse output of practical experiments, in line with the department, R&D project and functional standards. Can act as member of a project team, contributing to the realization of objectives of research/development/support projects.

- Delivering project results on time, ensuring quality and feasibility, according to business needs
- Correct use of methodologies, tools and systems
- Protection of AkzoNobel technologies
Key Activities
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, complies with safety policies and procedures. Follows safe work practices for personal and equipment safety, in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment
- Conducts a significant level of formulation or technical work (in the lab) as defined in the project plan
- Asks appropriate questions to clarify requirements, expectations and critical performance parameters
- Documents (lab) results, visits, etc. through appropriate reporting systems
- Is familiar with and applies relevant experimental, development and/or analytical approaches and techniques
Education & Experience
- Technical educational in relevant field, e.g. chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, environmental, maths, statistics, data science etc.
- Typically 1-3 years of relevant experience in similar roles. Knowledge in automotive coatings is a plus.
- Medium English level is mandatory
