Job Purpose

 

  • Maintains and updates color information in color DMS,. Responsible for creation of all types of formula requests and ensures standard panel presence in order to sustain smooth formula development process in CDC-Bangalore. Responsible for distribution of standard panel and formula panels to other location. Responsible for storing the panels in the panel file Responsible for the (physical) color panel file in the CDC.

Key Activities

  •  
  • input of data in agreement which procedures. Monitors the correct use of procedures, methods, rules and agreements.
    • Support: Level 2/3 Helpdesk, for global color queries/information. Supports when necessary, specialist CCIC.
    • Safety: To contribute towards safe work environment by adhering to safe work practices in line with Corporate HSE&S directives & guidelines in order to build work culture driven by safety consciousness.
    • Reporting: Reports to management on registered and solved color complaints on regular basis. Reports new colors received, CAR measurements collected, evaluated and Variants created for the PRR colors. Reports on data correctness and completeness.
    • Staff performance: Proceeding from departmental staffing forecasts, assist in selecting staff on the basis of skills, flexibility, and professionalism programs. Drawing up and realizing training plans. Practicing delegation agreements with staff, coaching staff and assessing performances (makes improvement plans whenever required). Creating an environment and organizational structure enabling staff to realize the preset results.
    • Maintain transparent communication: Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email and regular interpersonal communication.
    • Team leading: Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.

 

Experience

  • B. A or B. Com
  • Hands on experience in creating & Maintaining Database
  • Knowledge of MS-Office and Q-Color software, Q Base, Q Track, Q Select
  • Knowledge of Paint product lines
  • Good knowledge in color process: policies/procedures and methods.
  • Adhering to professionalism & organization specific code of business conduct
  • Hands on experience in various paints & coatings & product lines
  • Work Break down structure (WBS) with time management
  • Project Management – Basics
  • Proactive, Quick learner, Self-Motivated, Passionate to learn & deliver results on time
  • Good team player with very good team rapport & inter-personal skills
