EMEA Marcom & Activation Professional Lead
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands - Hybrid


We’re looking for an EMEA Marcom & Activation Professional Lead to help shape the future of marketing across AkzoNobel Decorative Paints in EMEA. In this exciting role, you'll drive the development of impactful communications, activation strategies, and customer experiences while leveraging the latest AI-powered technologies to deliver smarter, faster, and more effective marketing solutions.

What you'll do:
•    Lead the where to play how to win strategy for the professional audience brands across EMEA markets supporting market in exection.
•    Lead the development and deployment of communication assets and activation toolkits that support the EMEA marketing roadmap.
•    Support the creation and production of master assets and large-scale campaign toolkits for use across multiple markets.
•    Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and sustainability communication principles.
•    Drive the implementation and optimisation of AI-powered tools for content creation, adaptation, and workflow efficiency.
•    Develop best practices, templates, and governance frameworks for AI-enabled marketing activities.
•    Shape and enhance the customer experience by optimising key decision journeys across online and offline touchpoints.
•    Develop services and tools that improve engagement with professional painters, specifiers, and end users.
•    Lead the media and activation strategy, including marketing precision.  
•    Support media excellence across EMEA by defining channel guidelines, scaling best practices, and improving activation effectiveness.
•    Build strategic activation partnerships and collaborate with agencies, markets, and cross-functional teams to maximise campaign impact.
•    Analyse content, media, and activation performance, using insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


What you bring:
•    Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
•    Proven experience in brand communications, content creation, activation, media, or digital marketing within a regional or multi-market environment.
•    Strong understanding of audience targeting, segmentation, and performance optimisation through data-driven marketing.
•    Experience managing content production and campaign delivery from concept through to execution.
•    Knowledge of AI-powered marketing tools, workflow automation, digital asset management systems, or content management platforms.
•    Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
•    Strong analytical capabilities and confidence using performance data to guide decision-making.
•    Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse teams and markets.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
