Site Manager Ammerzoden

As Site Manager in Ammerzoden, you step into a key leadership position and serve as the most senior operational authority on site. You are accountable for ensuring that production runs safely, compliantly, reliably, and efficiently, while continuously improving performance in line with AkzoNobel’s global standards.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You translate business priorities into operational reality and ensure that every part of the site—production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and support functions—operates as one integrated system. You safeguard today’s performance while shaping the capabilities required for tomorrow.
Your leadership reflects AkzoNobel’s standardized Site Manager profile: you deliver business targets, uphold standards, develop team capability, and maintain the site’s license to operate.

What You Will Be Doing

Operational Excellence & Performance Delivery
You ensure operational stability by delivering against defined targets and KPIs. You monitor performance, apply structured problem solving, and drive corrective actions to meet or exceed site goals. You challenge the status quo and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, reliability, and sustainability.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
You build and maintain a strong safety first culture. You proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks using the hierarchy of controls, ensuring strict adherence to AkzoNobel and regulatory standards. You set clear expectations that go beyond compliance toward true operational excellence.

People Leadership & Engagement
You develop leadership capability across the site and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and trust. You empower teams to take ownership, collaborate effectively, and perform at their full potential. You invest in talent development and create an environment where people feel safe, supported, and motivated.

Strategic Deployment & CapEx Delivery
You translate long term business strategy into actionable site plans. You lead the accountable deployment of site strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals. You deliver CapEx projects on time and within budget, strengthening the site’s long term competitiveness and operational capability.

Stakeholder Management & External Representation
You act as the key connector between the site and the wider business. You collaborate closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, and commercial teams to align production capability with business demand. You represent the site professionally to regulators, local authorities, and external stakeholders.

How You Make an Impact

Your impact is visible in the stability, performance, and resilience of the Ammerzoden site. You ensure operations are predictable, cost effective, and scalable. You drive improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement, and you help shape the future of the site through investment decisions, capacity planning, and strategic development.
You contribute directly to AkzoNobel’s broader transformation agenda, including sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence. Ultimately, you are not only running a site—you are building a high performing manufacturing environment that can adapt, improve, and grow over time.
