Key Accountabilities

Sales Strategies

Develop and implement sales strategies and report these to State Manager in order to grow market share and achieve state sales budget. 


Meet Budget

Achieve the sales volume, value, and gross margin budget for the assigned territory within State region with the aim of retaining or improving profitability.


Sales Development

Develop and maintain customer relationships within the State powder coating market in order to maximise new sales opportunities, improve market share, and profitability.


Market Intelligence

Gather market intelligence and assess the opportunities for Powder in the State, in accordance with Akzo Nobel Business Principles, to gain new potential customers or increase market share.


Customer Satisfaction

Ensure sales management programs are in place and are used, according to Mercuri tools and processes, so that customer relationships are satisfactorily managed and assessed.


OH&S & 5S

Ensure that Health, Safety, Environment and 5S targets and objectives are met in full, as per the AkzoNobel OH&S Safety Plan, to provide a safe working environment with zero LTI’s.


To be a successful applicant, you shall possess the following:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ industry experience (Paint industry), with experience in the specifications market preferred
  • Must have a current Drivers Licence
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, systems, and application techniques
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good time and territory management skills
  •  Exceptional ability in product application and process
  • This position will require regular regional travel.
