About The Opportunity:

We are currently on the hunt for an enthusiastic and experienced Internal Sales Specialist to join our team at AkzoNobel in Wetherill Park, NSW. Are you a sales dynamo with a passion for driving business growth? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for managing customer relationships? Then this could be your dream job!

 

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Development and Sales teams, driving sales growth and market penetration within the powder coating industry across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies. 

What will you be doing:

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and achieve national sales targets.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and optimise sales approaches.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with key prospects and customers.
  • Monitor competitive pricing and provide feedback to the marketing team.
  • Create and execute sales implementation plans, including customer training and activity plans.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers within the powder coating market.
  • Gather market intelligence to identify potential new customers and increase market share.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Promote the positive company image and foster long-term relationships with assigned accounts.

 

Sales Performance and Reporting:

  • Achieve sales volume, value, and gross margin budget targets.
  • Recommend credit limits for accounts and ensure compliance with AkzoNobel's business practices.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure sales effectiveness.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Business Development and Specifications Manager.
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) audits and WISE group meetings.

You will be a superstar if you possess:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the coatings or related industry. 
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, MS Office and computer technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid Driver's Licence.
