Job Purpose

Actively manages the product portfolio group within the North American region.  Supports the Marketing/Segment Management team in the implementation, execution and maintenance of new product development and non-new product development projects.  Manages portfolio harmonization and rationalization/replacement of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages product lifecycle as a portfolio, introducing new products and regularly replacing and eliminating obsolete products.  Drives initiative to reduce slow movers and obsolete products.
  • Translates value propositions from segment plans into product solutions. Provides input for competitor benchmark studies.
  • Coordinates with Research and Development to create specification for new products based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Creates strategies to ensure optimal product positioning and value creation.  Ensures that relevant product information is provided to the commercial organization.
  • Maintains the specified product ranges and associated master data; ensuring compliance with technical specifications set by Research and Development and Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Supports the development and implementation of product positioning literature for the internal organization and external customers to include message strategy, planning and deliverables. 
  • Supports the creation of high-impact sales tools and customer retention tools such as white papers, newsletters, presentations, product demos.
  • Establishes familiarity and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures related to personal conduct and Health/Safety/Environmental standards. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Chemistry or related field.
  • 4 years' product management experience in a research and development, project management or commercial environment.  
  • Understanding of technical and commercial aviation preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build consensus resolve issues.  Experience working in multi-disciplinary and/or global teams helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  Experience using SAP required.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $90,000 - $98,000.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
