Job Purpose

This role is based in Port Hope, Ontario

The Purchasing Coordinator support both Canadian sites of Port Hope, ON and Warwick, QC with the flow of parts, supplies and services throughout the sites, coordinate maintenance activities, coordinate purchase orders and maintain necessary inventory levels.

The goal of the incumbent is to keep production running efficiently, spend company’s money judiciously, and follow company policies regarding purchasing and preferred suppliers


Key Accountabilities

  • Creates PO’s for daily raw materials requirements for production.
  • Sets up blanket PO’s.
  • Purchases NPR parts and labor.
  • Creates PO’s and routes them for approval and sends for processing and follow up.
  • Receives goods receipt of NPR into accounting system and works with GBS on fallout from late payments.
  • Works with P2I for any pricing discrepancies
  • Maintains appropriate min stock level in computer system.
  • Manages contractors in cooperation with maintenance department.


  • 1-3 year experience in a similar role
  • Working experience in inventory management,
  • Computer literate with strong command of the MS Office suite.
  • Communication skills, command of the French language is an asset.
  • ERP experience (SAP or equivalent)


  • High School Diploma
