Talent Acquisition Country lead is responsible for qualifying and implementing new recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent through simple Talent Acquisition practices delivering reliable outcomes and engaging and empowering candidate and hiring manager experience in order to secure sustainable high performance of AkzoNobel’s business.


Key objectives are including but not limited to:


  • Leading team of Talent Acquisition Partners and Talent Acquisition Administrator (7 FTEs in total) in Poland by driving performance (people/business) for GBS organization, Commercial Business and Site Operations in Pilawa, where mass recruitments and seasonality– based recruitments are taking place;
  • Leading and managing organizational effectiveness within Talent Acquisition Team by providing a stable backup team structure and KPIs reporting;
  • Building strong and effective partnerships with demanding business stakeholders in all three businesses in Poland as well as with HR stakeholders (HR Country Managers per Business, Rewards Manager, People Services support for Poland, etc.), and supporting the organization with guidance, analysis, and insights;
  • Influencing senior stakeholders daily among all three businesses in Poland and getting their support to achieve efficient recruitment process and alignment in ways of working and process improvements;
  • Identifying current and future talent gaps for key positions and building pipelines, accordingly, including tailored and proactive talent mapping, tracking and sourcing processes, building pipelines for key functions and roles and developing solutions for specific Talent Acquisition demands;
  • Working with the Communication CEE/Global functions to ensure consistent Employer Branding and Social media development and compelling candidate experience to become an employer of choice;
  • Building and implementing preferred supplier network in cooperation with other TA Country Leads in EMEA and Indirect Procurement Team;
  • Making sure that Global Talent Acquisition Strategy is reflected in country TA plans;
  • Participating in EMEA Talent Acquisition leadership team by supporting and leading agreed TA workstreams;
  • Assisting with both external and internal hiring efforts (internal recruitment in terms of assessment of employees for different or more senior roles);
  • Managing hands on the recruitment process and lifecycle, including initial assessments, interviews, and offers and supporting on the selected and assigned executive searches under the lead of Global Executive Recruitment Director;
  • Ensuring a strong and effective relationship with internal customers, latent talent and other Talent Acquisition teams.

Job Requirements


  • 5-8 years of experience within Talent Acquisition, including at least 3 years of experience in leading a team;
  • Previous experience in cooperating with different types of businesses: SSC – GBS organization, Commercial organization and Production Plant;
  • Experience in leading large (EMEA) projects and delivering on commitments;
  • Experience in KPIs reporting and translating numbers into action plans for TA Team;  
  • Ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders at all levels of the organization and in different locations;
  • In-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques;
  • Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychological test etc.);
  • Hands-on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards;
  • Experience with ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools;
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills (in English) to effectively work with all levels of the organization;
  • Excellent change management and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to independently seek solutions;
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, coaching and advocacy skills;
  • High degree of accuracy and discretion;
  • Continuous improvement mind set.
