Primary purpose of the job:
- Understanding the needs of the local businesses and acting as expert consultant to business / functional and HR leaders on Talent Management, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Delivering & implementing global, regional and local Talent and Development initiatives in the areas of Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Management and Diversity and Inclusion.
- Supporting Regional Talent and Development Manager EMEA in:
- shaping a high-performance culture in the region,
- strengthening talent movement & development,
- building future proof capabilities
- fostering an inclusive culture and strengthening leadership diversity.
- Contributing to the design & development of global programs by sharing expertise knowledge and regional perspectives.
- Building capability of local HR function on key T&D processes and initiatives.
- Collaborating with People Services on operational CoE activities.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities of the job:
- Delivering global Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Management and Diversity & Inclusion processes & philosophy in the region in an aligned way.
- Ensuring the execution of globally/regionally driven T&D processes/policies/initiatives in the area.
- Supporting Regional Talent and Development Manager in analyzing regional needs and acting as expert consultant to Local HR on CoE topics.
- In collaboration with the Regional Talent and Development Manager, designing, developing and delivering (internally or outsourced) local Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Development and Diversity and Inclusion programs aligned with global Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Management and Diversity and Inclusion policies.
- Preparing for and monitoring seamless execution of the operational CoE activities via People Services department.
- Building capability of HR Managers and Advisors in the area.
- Facilitating training interventions/awareness session within the area for the local HR teams.
- Keeping up to date on best practices in the areas of Talent Management, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion.
Relevant experience and required skills:
- Master’s degree ideally in Psychology, Management, Business Administration.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, of which min. 3 years in Talent Management, Learning & Development roles.
- Experienced in diagnosing and assessing the needs of the customers and translating these into appropriate solutions.
- Ability to facilitate and effectively deliver training.
- Track record in successful project management of training program design, development & delivery.
- Ability to support change in the organization.
- Proven track record in identifying, selecting and commercially negotiating with external partners.
- Proven international orientation, cultural and D&I awareness.
- Working in a multinational matrix organization and having experience in a business in/outside of AkzoNobel is seen as a plus.
- Ability to facilitate, coach and effectively deliver training.
- Proven capability to effectively work with autonomy with remote team
- Fluent in English (our business language) and dominant regional language(s).
