About the Role:

As a Senior Cash Application Expert, you will be instrumental in managing cash flow activities for a specific market within the EMEA region. This targeted approach ensures that you can directly impact and optimize operations, providing tailored solutions and improvements.
This role involves a blend of technical proficiency and interpersonal skills, offering the chance to impact our financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management: Handle daily cash applications and support the closing of Cash GL, particularly at month-end. Tackle non-standard and complex cash application scenarios, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

  • Leadership and Training: Ensure a smooth process flow, provide support and mentorship to team members, especially in managing difficult cases and foster team spirit and a positive work ambiance.

  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with IT and Global Process Champions to address challenges in low auto-cash applications and drive overall process enhancements. Collaborate with local market within the EMEA region based on language capabilities to drive process enhancements and adapt practices to local needs.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Uphold stringent compliance with legislation and company policies, support audit processes, and deliver insightful KPI reports to management.

  • Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis to improve collections strategies and reduce overdue debts, applying innovative solutions to enhance financial operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in cash application within a GBS, BPO, or SSC environment.

  • Fluent in English and one additional language: French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Romanian, Hungarian, Czech, Arabic, Polish.

  • Solid experience in handling various payment modes such as Direct Debits, Cheques, BoE, etc., demonstrating a deep understanding of cash application complexities.

  • Strong accounting skills and mastery in Excel (including pivots, xlookup, etc.).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on mentoring.

  • Patience and a supportive attitude to foster a collaborative team environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
