Purpose of the job

Rebates & Allowances Analyst (internal name: I2C Rebates Expert) scope of responsibilities: 

  • 15% setting up, submitting, and confirming the accuracy of monthly rebate accruals,
  • 15% initiating rebate payments to customers,
  • 45% reconciling rebate achievement vs targets during the year to assisting sales and customers in hitting targets as well as for interim payments and audit requirements,
  • 10% reconciling rebate paid vs owed for year-end rebate settlements,
  • 15% ensuring correct allocation of rebates on customer AR Ledgers.


  • Ensuring correct initial set up of rebates in the system by sales support for all customers to drive accurate accruals and support the pay-out/reconciliation process. 

  • Reviewing SAP rebate accrual proposals vs. Sales Contracts and liaise with the sales team to ensure accuracy and propose adjustments where required.

  • Calculating and finalizing monthly sales rebate accruals (SAP and non-SAP calculated), submitting a journal, and reviewing general ledger/reports to ensure the correctness of financial postings.

  • Reconciling rebates owed and rebates paid for each customer to propose payments during the year where required by agreements and following year-end for annual settlements.

  • Providing information required by sales and customers on rebate payments and target achievement/gap (during the year).

  • Reconciling rebates as requested by customers for audit purposes.

  • Ensuring correct allocation of rebate credit notes per company policy and customer request.

About you


  • Graduate or equivalent qualification and at least 3 years of relevant work experience in Finance, ideally in an O2C role.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to balance multiple priorities and meet (recurring financial) deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently on a monthly timeframe.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate complex subjects to non-experts on multiple organizational levels.
  • Very good English language proficiency. 
  • Practical understanding of ERP and Finance systems.
  • Very good proficiency in Excel, knowledge of SAP (SD/BI) would be an asset.
