About the Role:

 

  • Being responsible for IFRS specific accounting areas in the region (e.g. inventory, intercompany, treasury, GL, legal, legacy, fixed assets and pension accounting).

  • Support and execute in an accurate and timely way the required ongoing, monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS / accounting related activities for the entities in the region.

  • Providing guidance and support regarding GL balances, balance sheet reconciliations, preparing relevant journal entries and resolving issues.

  • Analyze balance sheet (BS), profit & loss (P&L) figures and variances.

  • Collaborate with different departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Accounting Controllers, to integrate their financial data into the general ledger. and streamline the financial recording process for added efficiency.

  • Participate in audit process and coordinate annual statutory reporting.

  • Contribute to projects that require IFRS expertise and have an impact on accounting (e.g. integration of legal entities).

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance/accounting or similar field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in General Ledger, preferably in an SSC/BPO.

  • Advanced knowledge of Record to Report process and IFRS.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Knowledge of SAP and HFM is nice to have.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

  • Good knowledge of Greek would be an asset.
