Job Purpose
Perform maintenance servicing and installation of plant machinery, equipment and piping systems. Safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and bump caps must be worn always by technicians in designated areas. Dust mask, rubber gloves, face shields, electrical safety gear and other protective equipment must be worn when required. Technicians must wear company-provided uniforms.
Technicians must be able to work an eight (8) hour day, afternoon, or night schedule. Weekend and other overtime work are required from time to time. Call-in and occasional temporary shift rotation is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, trouble-shoot and overhaul machinery and process equipment including PLC and PanelView troubleshooting and repair, Variable-frequency drive troubleshooting and repair, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, structural repair, grounds and sewer repair, welding, brazing and soldering, HVAC.
- Install machinery, process equipment and associated utilities. Check and calibrate systems after installation and make necessary changes, adjustments and modifications to obtain desired results.
- Perform routine scheduled and non-scheduled electrical trouble-shooting and repair.
- Perform all work safely and injury free. Must actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance. Openly give and receive feedback on safety performance to and from fellow employees.
- Perform duties according to ISO 9001 procedures.
- Attend and participate in Warsaw Plant Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Behavior Based Safety, React Cards, AkzoNobel Leading Performance System (ALPS), etc.
- Participate in the Warsaw Safety Journey
- Responsible for Warehouse stores management (Part Requesting, Accurate Min/Max levels, part put-away)
- Responsible for general housekeeping in the department and other maintenance areas throughout plant
- Complete maintenance documentation, includes but not limited to job time documentation, job plans and parts consumption
- Takes part in root cause problem solving
- Shares findings with maintenance planning and engineering on maintenance tasks and jobs and provides opportunities to improve the maintenance tasks and jobs in the future.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Variable frequency drive troubleshooting and repair.
- Must be able to calculate various measurements using basic math skills
- Must have skill in the use and care of tools and equipment of the electrical and mechanical trade.
- Must have basic computer knowledge and skills for accurately entering data into the data entry system, using e-mail and other plant computer software.
- Must be able to manually lift and handle a nominal weight of 25 kgs. (55 lbs.).
- Ability to wear various types of respirators (cartridge, fresh air or self-contained).
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work from building roofs and pipe racks (heights).
- Must have enough dexterity and strength to operate equipment, turn valves, etc.
- Must be able to operate hand tools such as drills, pliers, channel locks, screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets.
- Must be able to read and understand work requests containing maintenance directions and safety precautions.
- Must be able to read and interpret sketches, electrical diagrams and blueprints.
- Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately.
- Required to stand up to 90% of working day with frequent walking, intermittent stooping and bending
