About the assignment

As Indirect Sourcing Specialist you will collaborate with stakeholders across various business units in the CEE (Poland, Czech, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Baltics) based from our head office in Warsaw, to execute global and regional category strategies to achieve significant cost reductions whilst maintaining or improving product and service quality levels.



  • Preparing analysis and business cases supporting sourcing recommendations including competitive bidding, as well as negotiating and analysing market trends.
  • Acting as the sourcing interface between P2I and NPR Category Management organization to fulfill and process procurement of goods and services within all indirect category in cluster.
  • Acting as an NPR procurement business partner to the business.
  • Providing contract management and interface with Legal department.
  • Executing commercially medium-value (€15 - €100k) sourcing projects.
  • Accomplishing some high value and high complexity (>€100k) sourcing projects with Category Manager stewardship, e.g. Capex requests.
  • Preparing analysis and suggesting projects to consolidate spend and suppliers.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders in local country or cluster of countries on development of procurement business cases as well TWWB as policy development and conformance.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a national indirect purchasing role (preferably in commercial area) and understanding international landscape.
  • Strong Procurement skills like: negotiations experience with proven success stories, ability to analyse market situation and prepare purchasing recommendations, finding new buying channels, aggregating spend, applying AkzoNobel’s payment terms etc.
  • Good communication, presenting and interpersonal skills, problem-solving mindset.
  • Project management understanding, team working ability.
  • Ability to influence various stakeholders’ decisions.
  • Self-starter with a “to do” attitude and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Very good Excel & PP skills.
  • Fluent English and Polish.
