About the role


We’re seeking a seasoned leader to shape and drive our global Packaging Technology strategy. This role ensures consistent, sustainable, and value-driven packaging solutions across all regions in partnership with cross-functional teams. You’ll lead a global team to deliver harmonized, innovative, and compliant packaging processes that support business growth and product integrity.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Define and execute a long-term global packaging technology strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and coach regional packaging technologists, fostering collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Establish standardized packaging processes, specifications, and governance across all regions.
  • Oversee global packaging portfolios in partnership with Product Management, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Co-chair Packaging Councils to manage change, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment across functions.
  • Partner with vendors to assess and implement innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with global and local packaging regulations and quality standards.

 

Job requirements

 

  • BSc/MSc in Packaging Technology or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in global packaging roles within FMCG or Chemical industries.
  • Proven expertise in managing industrial and/or consumer packaging portfolios.
  • Strong track record in packaging quality, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or sourcing environments.
  • Effective stakeholder management across regions and business units at executive level.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing dispersed teams in matrix organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
  • Comfortable working in multinational environments and open to international travel.
