FP&A Analyst Procurement is a skilled and ambitious professional who can provide the highest standards of financial analysis and insight. You will become the FP&A go-to person for one of AkzoNobel’s business areas. Position requires you to combine an affinity for numbers and systems with a critical, but constructive, approach.
Your core task is to support the Head of FP&A Procurement by:
- Generating analysis and variance insights, particularly in the area of PR and mostly in NPR product & services costing, rebates, feedstock, productivity projects, FX (direct and indirect), labor force.
- Developing financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and recognition of the price variation drivers.
- Reporting for productivity, improvement initiatives and global processes such as planning and budgeting.
- DPO/Payables analysis and forecast.
Other tasks:
- Closely cooperating with the Procurement Finance Business Partner (PR &NPR) to increase the visibility of the drivers of the prices change and highlight risks and opportunities for savings.
- Supporting the continued development of the QRF and other planning and forecasting processes, in particular the Variable Material Cost forecasting process.
- Preparing the monthly reporting package and analysis on performance including volume/mix/rate and cause of change analysis.
- Preparing key messages, insights and bridges for leadership reviews.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent.
- More than 4 years of experience as an analyst or controller in a business environment and/or functional area.
- Experience of change management in a finance environment is preferred.
- Strong HFM, ERP and BI systems experience, along with experience of building automated reports and models.
- Able to reduce complex and/or large volumes of data to a digestible size and format.
- Curious, eager to take initiative, and always searching for improvement opportunities in terms of processes.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills, including the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
