About the role

 

As Cybersecurity Readiness Manager, you’ll lead a team responsible for ensuring IT projects, M&A integrations, and operational activities meet security requirements before going live. You’ll define and enforce security assurance processes, conduct technical reviews, and act as a gatekeeper for secure deployments across the organization. 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain standardized security processes, checklists, and guidelines.
  • Implement a security quality assurance framework integrated with project and change management.
  • Conduct security reviews and provide expert input during design and due diligence phases.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to embed effective security controls.
  • Perform technical validations, including vulnerability assessments and configuration reviews.
  • Act as the final security gatekeeper before production deployment.
  • Plan and execute technical assessments aligned with standards like NIS2 and CIS Controls.
  • Provide security expertise for non-project IT activities, including infrastructure changes and vendor assessments.

 

Job requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience cybersecurity, with a focus on security assurance or IT security reviews.
  • Proven leadership in security readiness or pre-production validation functions.
  • Experience with IT project lifecycles and M&A due diligence.
  • Strong knowledge of NIS2, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners).
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud, network, and application security.
