About the role
As Country Tax Manager, you will own the end-to-end tax position for Poland, ensuring compliance with local law and alignment with group tax principles. You will act as the in-country tax expert, partnering closely with finance, the business, and the regional tax team. The role combines hands-on compliance with advisory and improvement-focused work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the country’s Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and Withholding Tax positions.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate CIT returns with service providers, accounting teams, and controllers.
- Own the VAT filing process, including review and sign-off of local VAT returns.
- Manage withholding tax processes for dividends, interest, royalties, and intercompany services.
- Prepare and sign off local transfer pricing documentation, including TPR-C and CbCR notifications.
- Review and support IFRS tax reporting, including current and deferred tax positions.
- Act as the main contact for tax authorities, managing tax audits and inquiries.
- Identify local tax risks and opportunities and support tax-related projects and process improvements.
Job requirements
- Qualified tax professional with at least 5 years of experience in managing multiple tax processes.
- Solid hands-on experience with CIT, VAT, and Withholding Tax in a country environment.
- Experience coordinating with tax advisors, shared service centers, and finance stakeholders.
- Understanding of tax accounting and IFRS reporting.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage tax audits and interact with tax authorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
