About the Role:

As the Cash Application Team Lead at AkzoNobel, you will head a newly established team, overseeing the integration and coaching of team members to build trust and ensure seamless service delivery. This pivotal role involves transitioning the cash application process from an external provider to internal structures. You will play a crucial role in managing the dynamics of this transition, fostering a supportive environment that balances emotional well-being with professional demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Take the lead in managing the front-end responsibilities of transitioning processes from external to internal structures. Oversee workload distribution, conduct performance evaluations, and provide effective coaching. Actively cultivate team spirit and a positive atmosphere, ensuring each team member feels supported and valued as they contribute to our collective success.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure KPIs & SLAs such as Same Day Application and Unallocated Cash are met. Oversee month-end activities and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration and Compliance: Work closely with Credit & Collection, RTR, and Commercial teams to address issues. Efficiently manage internal and external audits.

  • Process Improvement: Identify issues and trends in cash application processes to develop corrective actions, champion process standardization, and implement automation where appropriate.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience dedicated to Cash Application in 'Order to Cash' / 'Invoice to Cash' roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage process transitions and adapt effectively to challenging environments.

  • Fluent in English with exceptional communication, networking, and presentation skills.

  • Strong practical experience with SAP (CFIN).

  • Proven track record of working within a multicultural organization.

  • Excellent ability to partner with management as a business partner.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Order to Cash process.

  • Degree level education or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields is preferable.
