About the role

 

The Digital Commerce Architect shapes and owns the end‑to‑end architecture behind our digital sales channels, ensuring seamless, scalable, and high‑performing customer and seller experiences. In this role, you’ll bridge strategy, platforms, and enterprise technology to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with commercial and digital teams to design solutions that power consistent and personalized journeys across all sales touchpoints.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Define and drive the digital commerce architecture across web, mobile, marketplace, and emerging channels.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architectural designs.
  • Develop long‑term technology roadmaps and establish governance, documentation, and architecture standards.
  • Ensure secure handling of payments and personal data, complying with GDPR and local regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership and guide delivery teams from project initiation to completion.
  • Integrate commerce platforms with enterprise systems such as SAP, CRM, PIM, DAM, and logistics solutions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance sales performance and customer experience.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to communicate architectural vision and influence decision‑making.

 

Job requirements

 

  • 7+ years of experience as an IT Architect, ideally with e‑commerce, CRM, SFA, lead management, SAP SD, store operations, or CPQ solutions.
  • Strong expertise in integrating commerce platforms with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, CRM, PIM, WMS, payment, fulfillment, data platforms).
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, analytics, reporting, and customer insights.
  • Proficiency with APIs, GraphQL, microservices, cloud architecture, hosting infrastructure, and security.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and GenAI for sales and service optimization.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and promote architectural governance across teams.
