Job Purpose
- Drives implementation of actions resulting from suppliers’ performances improvement programs (QDCIS) and Supplier Collaboration program;
- Executes the sourcing strategy at local level and is the interface with local suppliers, planning, site quality and R&D departments;
- Acts as the key procurement interface with local stakeholders and first escalation interface to handle local supply issues.
- Manages local, plant specific suppliers and related SLAs.
- Support Regional Procurement manager in IBP meetings, such as SOE and PMR
- Supports Continuous Improvement projects; aiming to improve end-to-end processes in Procurement; interfacing with Integrated Supply Chain / quality / R&D / global Sourcing
Key Activities
- Identifies opportunities and contributes to and leads local projects, aiming to optimize MoQ, ordering volumes, lead times, payment terms etc
- Drives local change management with regards to QDCIS projects, supports and drives Value Engineering savings projects locally.
- Drives Material cost reduction initiatives locally
- Implements the sourcing strategy on site/BU (or country) level
- Communicates the local requirements to regional or global sourcing teams
- Conducts commercial negotiations and manages relationships with suppliers managed by the regional procurement organization (if delegated by a Sourcing Manager / Director)
- Support the price change management for material requirements in their geographical scope, including creation or maintenance requests for purchasing info-records / outline agreements (for new and existing materials).
- Interacts with local stakeholders at site: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, RD&I, Local Commercial Organization
- Acts as the first escalation interface to handle site related supplier issues
- Manages local, plant specific suppliers and related SLAs
Job Requirements
Qualifications/ Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
- Master’s Degree and/or Procurement accreditation will be an asset
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a local purchasing or supply chain role with an international understanding
- Fluency in English
