We are hiring for an PSRA Specialist (Product Safety Regulatory Affairs) that has basic knowledge of the relevant PS regulatory landscape.  

  • Will contribute to team deliverables by evaluating and validating data sources, and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
  • Resolve and respond to customer enquiries in an accurate and timely fashion. 
  • Support and apply, for example identifying issues and offering solutions or creating a plan for a small project.  


The Product Safety Regulatory Affairs position will support our compliance to NA TSCA, CEPA and VOC laws and is located at our AkzoNobel Coatings Research & Development Troy, Michigan location.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant regulations directly relevant to the role (North America regulations that impact the Coatings industry)
  • Ensure data integrity/ accuracy of data sources
  • Support maintenance of our electronic records system.
  • Knows how to handle Confidential Business Information
  • Lead small projects.
  • Proactively identify issues and offer solutions to management.
  • Respond to internal customers and resolve raw material and/or product issues accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Produce regulatory standardized compliance statements for customers
  • Communicate effectively internally (other departments) 
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements to practical implications for the business.
  • Review new products, new raw materials and product changes for regulatory compliance.  
  • TSCA/ CEPA and VOC support for North America businesses (Automotive, Specialty (ASC) and Powder (POW) businesses).


  • BS in science discipline preferred (e.g. chemistry, toxicology, or closely related discipline)
  • Experience in Regulatory or RD&I role or other relevant function preferred
