Position Summary:

  • Support of key processes and business assignments for marketing organization.
  • Over-sight and implementation of the launch process (PMMT) for new and revised products
  • Ensure service level agreements are being maintained and upheld by all members of the PMMT process to facilitate the quick introduction of products offerings in NAM.
  • Routine maintenance of the internal and competitive product information.
  • Procurement of competitive published product information and technical data sheets for maintenance of web-based competitive analysis tool.
  • Supports Margin Analyst with maintenance of defined financial analysis tools and programs.
  • Participation and/or leadership of defined business assignments.
  • Input of pertinent data into SAP system with critical info to allow for market release & access of all products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Launch Tool / Process

  • Launch / initialize product introduction process (PMMT) for all new and revised products designed to be launched into the NAM market space.
  • Input of all business critical information into the product launch tool as defined by product managers to ensure proper business criteria for SAP.
  • Over-site of the product launch process (PMMT) to ensure that all participants are meeting service level agreements.
  • Monthly reporting of launch timeline results by department and area of responsibility.

Competitive database Management

  • Research / maintain up-to-date product information on all products within the CV/Fleet/Vehicle Refinish segments for internal and competitive products
  • Research competitive information and product launches for all coatings manufacturers and catalog products and technical properties into competitive database.
  • Calculate impact of key performance properties of stated products to determine over-all financial impact on customer locations.
  • Prepare competitive performance presentations for sales organization as required for targeting of key customers and groups.


Margin Analyst Support

  • Update and uphold product related files in the Mirror Tool for development of value-based pricing.
  • Calculate color formula related analysis to determine weighted pricing impact on most popular color matrix.
  • Calculate impact of price increase on color formulas based on usage and popularity.
  • Compute business analysis and participation in ad-hoc projects (market survey’s, market research, portfolio analysis and margin impacts, etc.  as defined by regional marketing manager.
