Job Purpose

The Account Representative will be responsible for sales growth, relationship building, and the development of Strategic Accounts based in targeted segments.  Their core focus will be primarily 1) Prospecting and landing new accounts through current market segments; 2) Prospecting and landing new accounts through new market segments; 3) Driving organic growth and margin improvement within existing accounts. 4) Providing service and support to existing customers to ensure account retention.


Territory: Western US (preferred locations: Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, in cooperation with Field Sales Management, qualified Strategic Account prospects and develops market plans for the Sign segment.  Strategic business development responsibilities include:
    • Sales proposals and negotiation of supply agreements with potential clients
    • Documentation and approvals required for all proposals
  • Acts as the single point of contact for all customers within market territory
  • Coordinates with other Account Representatives the ongoing support and service of accounts that span territories and market boundaries
  • Responsible for follow up and communication with Sales Group team members including activities, needs, and support issues of all accounts within his/her market.
  • Leverage relationship at Strategic Accounts to uncover and develop other sales opportunities.
  • Provide educational forums on industry trends, regulations and technologies by monitoring associations, governmental data, and industry activities.  Be an active participant in trade shows and associations to aid in developing new business.
  • Insure that the company and management have comprehensive understanding of factors influencing the industry, market trends, and evolving customer developments.
  • Make industry presentations that promote the company’s products and services.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with minimum of 3 – 5 years of sales experience preferred or 7-10 years of equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience within manufacturing environments, along with commercial coatings systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop appropriate strategies and relationships that deliver sales results within a diverse and challenging business climate.
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers at all levels at customer accounts and internal management.
  • Must be able to travel approx 75% of the time.

Compensation Data:

The salary range for these skills is: $69,000.00 - $79,000.00.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
