Job Purpose

  • Responsible for daily / shift wise Engineering activities for Powder Coating Site in Thane.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Shift basis drive on shop floor to ensure zero breakdown by implementing robust maintenance plan
  • Ensure Conditional monitoring for all equipment’s.
  • Support site maintenance strategy (preventive, predictive, and breakdown).
  • Ensure high availability of equipment and utilities across plant operations.
  • Manage day-to-day mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
  • Drive plant reliability through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive proactive maintenance strategies for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Monitor KPIs (MTBF, breakdowns), lead root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company procedures and protocols.
  • Support process safety management and participate in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
  • Ensure adherence to AkzoNobel and statutory engineering standards.
  • Control engineering/maintenance budgets.
  • Drive optimization using Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma methods.
  • Support procurement of technical services, equipment, and vendor selection.
  • Champion strong leadership: coaching, development of technicians.
  • Foster collaboration with site functions (Operations, HSE, Procurement, Quality)
  • Ensure site as a PSM champion
  • Ensure site as PTW compliance
  • Ensure the implementation of MOC/RA/Hazard study/AIG/PSM

Experience

  • Engineering Graduate + Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+years’ experience in powder manufacturing setup.
  • Hands-on experience in: CapEx project execution, HAZOP, PHA, PSSR, Maintenance strategy (PM, CBM), Statutory compliance (PESO, CEIG, KSPCB, etc.), ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001 systems, Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships and stake holder management
  • Fluent in local language skill
