Key Accountabilities

- Deliver contribution to execution of overall category (consulting firms, HR services, Legal services, third-party labor, IT) strategy and drive results in line with the global procurement strategy;
- Responsible for a subcategory, with total expected spend up to €42M;
- Set action plans with internal stakeholders in regards to cost savings, payment term improvements, master data improvements, drive use of catalogues, spend consolidation;
- Apply latest market insights in developing subcategory strategy;
- Act as key account manager for selected suppliers in the (sub-) category;
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance in co-operation with the business;
- Identify opportunities for spend optimization for their related (sub-) category and in line with the category strategy;
- Develop suitable contract templates in co-operation with Legal and stakeholders;
- Routinely develop deep-market understanding and benchmarking for the industry;
- Realize results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends;
- Decide and sign-off on projects that will aid in cost optimization from both the internal and external side;
- Ensure category KPI’s are a correct representation of reality to present it to leadership senior team;

- Responsible for ensuring that performance KPI’s are a correct representation of reality;
- Be an ambassador for process adherence throughout the whole company in line with policies & procedures;
- Challenge stakeholders on status quo in order to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or equivalent work experience desired;
- Solid background in an international purchasing role leading this respective category group;
- Fluent English & Spanish, both written and spoken;
- Influencer who can drive category strategies, develop pricing models, and creates impact across all levels of an organization;
- Good category expertise and sourcing/procurement experience and proven track record in Supplier and Contract Management;
- Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma is a plus;
- Project management and change management experience;
- Excellent communicator with different management layers in different functions (Operations, Procurement) and in different parts of the company (BU, GBS);
- Be able to understand the big picture & integration points; take personal accountability and ownership of tasks and deliver results;
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and influential skills;
- Ability to build relationships across the organization and all geographic regions.
