Job Purpose
Your role will be to oversee and coordinate the packaging artwork projects to ensure
all packaging labels and decorations are produced and delivered to our Markets on time, in full and to specification
Job Responsibilities
• Manage & deliver major & complex packaging artwork related projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time & in full.
• Support New Product Implementation (NPI) projects through SAP code creation, master data management and pre-artwork meetings.
• Always uphold the right first time briefing and artwork principle
• Nurture artwork team members to ensure high quality work.
• Ensure print ready files (repro) are produced on time, in full, with the right quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues & suppliers to define the best print & decoration process.
• Provide weekly status reports & monitor project progress.
• Identify process improvements to deliver artwork process efficiencies.
• Responsibility for the quality, progress and timings of the artwork stream in your projects.
• Communicate to stakeholders and ensure the project is delivered on time and in full.
• First contact and packaging/artwork lead for one of the AkzoNobel filling sites.
• Approve artworks on packaging specifications, content and quality.
• Provide all packaging related information to complete the marketing packaging brief.
• Know and follow the internal processes ensuring artwork is updated, working with marketing, supply chain and suppliers.
• Support packaging decoration improvement projects & Central legislation projects.
• Support and advise Marketing & our repro house in defining the best print & decoration for the pack regarding efficiency and quality.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Graphic design, Communications, Packaging or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience in a similar position in artwork or pack coordination.
• Thorough understanding & technical knowledge of packaging decoration, repro and print techniques.
• Strong project management skills & experience in digital project management applications.
• Solid understanding of the MDG/SAP, Excel & other MS Office applications
