Communications Manager – Introduction 
With extensive experience in a corporate communications role, either inhouse or agency side, you are ready to help shape the ongoing success of a world expert in making coatings. Operating in over 150 countries, AkzoNobel is home to well-known brands, including Dulux the UK’s favourite paint, and has been awarded Top Employer status in the UK and Europe. We are now recruiting a corporate communications specialist to shape the AkzoNobel brand and reputation as well as engage key audiences to support business objectives.

Communications Manager – The Role
•    Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications plan for the UK and Ireland
•    Deliver local initiatives and implement global campaigns
•    Provide strategic communications support for UKI businesses
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure communications plans are aligned to business objectives
•    Gather stories, develop and create content for internal and external communications channels.
•    Manage events for internal and external audiences 
•    Produce digital content
•    Execute social media strategies and tactics in line with AkzoNobel guidelines
•    Collaborate with and inspire supplier partners to produce great work

Communications Manager – About You
•    Extensive experience in corporate communications, ideally in or working closely with an international matrix organization
•    Experience of producing digital and social media content
•    Comfortable filming and editing videos
•    Have crisis communications experience 
•    Good at prioritising workflow
•    Used to managing budgets
•    Solid supplier management skills
•    Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
•    First class copywriting ability
•    Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
