Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain inventory accuracy, support projects with data, and optimize logistics operations within the warehouse. The role is responsible for inputting, analyzing, and presenting data to support decision-making and improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Accountabilities

Inventory Management:
1. Cycle Counts and Reconciliation:
   o Carry out scheduled cycle counts and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy as per target levels.
   o Create PI (Physical Inventory) documents based on ABC/SKU level or bin where necessary every morning and pass them to the warehouse for physical checks.
   o Reconcile and request the warehouse team to check discrepancies, finalize results, and update the cycle count tracker.
2. Periodic Checks:
   o Conduct periodic checks of inbound transactions, inter-warehouse movements, put away accuracy, picking accuracy, and outbound transactions.
3. Inventory Compliance:
   o Monitor SAP transactions for accuracy by conducting periodic checks of warehouse transactions and movements.
   o Ensure compliance with inventory policies such as FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and batch management.
   o Review and propose improvements where needed.
4. Stock Management:
   o Conduct weekly SLED (Shelf-Life Expiry Date) reviews and updates.
   o Verify and oversee the disposal of RFA (Rejected for Auction) items both systemically and physically.
   o Participate in the annual stock count.

 

Logistics and Continuous Improvement:
1. Data Input and Analysis:
   o Input and maintain data related to logistics operations, including the number of deliveries to third parties, transportation costs, the number of incoming and outgoing pallets, the trend of Chroma scans produced at the site, and the number of pickings completed in a day.
   o Monitor the number of urgent orders raised by Customer Service and track capacity data for both the Chroma scan team and the picking team.
   o Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
2. Reporting and Presentation:
   o Create, validate, and analyze daily/monthly logistics reports.
   o Prepare and present data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
   o Support data requests related to logistics for presentations and reporting.
3. Process Improvement:
   o Support improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and cost savings in logistics operations.
   o Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within logistics.
   o Build and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for logistics.
4. Project Support:
   o Provide data and analysis to drive projects related to logistics.
   o Support management in decision-making by providing accurate and timely data.
5. Performance Monitoring:
   o Collect and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in logistics.
   o Design new methods and procedures for operational processes.

Ad-hoc Tasks:
   o Handle ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by the Operation Executive.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
   o Understand and obey the essential principles of safe working practices and procedures.

Experience

Diploma in Logistics/Supplychain Management or related specialisation, with at least 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations

 

1)Proficiency in SAP: Strong knowledge and experience with SAP for inventory management, data entry, and transaction monitoring.
2)Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse logistics data, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement.
3)Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring compliance with policies.
4)Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within logistics and inventory operations.
5)Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams, present data insights, and support management in decision-making.
6)Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to handle ad-hoc tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
