Specialist III

Job Purpose

Conduct all the short term development projects in ICP and LWR system from KAM of automotive business.

Work with CTS for big customer complaints about automotive business.

Delivering project results on time

Correct use of methodologies and tools

Functional guidance/supervision of small (<5) teams of vocational R&D Specialists

Key Accountabilities

To prepare, execute and analyze output of practical experiments, in line with the department, RD&I project and functional standards. As part of a project team contribute to the realization of objectives of innovative or developmental projects.

Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, complies with safety policies and procedures.

Follows safe work practices for personal and equipment safety, in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment

Conduct a significant level of formulation and technical work in the lab as defined in the project plan, guides technicians in executing experiments.

Conduct all the short term projects from KAM and work with CTS for big customer complaints from automotive business.

Documents lab results through appropriate means including laboratory notebooks, Interim and full reports, project meeting minutes, and monthly summaries. When

visiting customers, writes reports with corresponding action items.

Spends significant time in the lab. Asks appropriate questions to clarify requirements, expectations and critical performance parameters

Be familiar with characterization techniques, e.g. mechanical and chemical techniques

Experience

University graduate, Master degree is preferred. Subject should be chemistry, polymers or the related ones.

Worked in Coatings industry at least 5 years, prefer working for powder coating industry

Understand formulation techniques and have plenty knowledge about raw materials’ performances & coatings applications.

Understand IATF16949 knowledge and related 5 tools, APQP, DFMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP. Can support quality system work.
