Job Purpose

• To provide global management and support irt Services offer in Marine, Protective and Yacht(MPY). 
• To manage responsibility for the portfolio assigned, driving range performance and profitability in line with the MPY segment plans. 
• It also will cover the BU intentions to monetise new innovations related to robotics and aerones, and some other innovation topics.  
• Key collaboration with Marketing and Tender teams to deliver the services globally, ensuring tools and data are managed within AN by the appropriate functions. Develop growth plans for the Services range offer with input from Marketing and Tender.
• Drives NPI and MRC, monitors and acts on product range performance challenges in line with segment targets and, works closely with other senior product managers and Marketing and Tender functions to provide leadership in portfolio implementation via other functions.

 

Key Activities

  • Manages overall product & service portfolio related to category including (introduction/integration/deletion), considering global strategy and market trends, working with Product Management Director to establish business priorities based on product and offer road mapping, delivering on the plan according to these priorities.
  • Works as one with segment teams to devise product and service solutions related to new concepts and business models, engaging Product Management PMOs on delivery mission.
  • Aligns and drives Integrated Business Planning guidelines (such as new product introduction, product obsolescence, rationalization, etc.) – working with segment teams to develop product and services to deliver against winning concepts.
  • Responsible for proactive management of the range in order to deliver the profitability goals of the business, creating clear understanding of range, pipeline and key profitability drivers- managing priority areas and delegating to product managers in their reporting line or other products managers operating on category related projects on a PMO basis.
  • Takes the lead with functions (ISC, Procurement, RD&I) in prioritizing and aligning functional activity to deliver against the plan – a key point of contact for the MPY Tender function.
  • Leads IBP process on key projects, taking actions to ensure on time delivery against planned projects.
  • Drives technology/range harmonization projects, engaging and supporting product managers in execution.
  • Acts as Project Manager for top product development projects, including coordinating the business case creation with segments and R&DI, using the stage gate process to deliver, ensuring effective planning, communication and progress of new product development and launches into the market. Acts to give marketing specific input on other projects.
  • Takes the lead at industry events and within key technical committees to raise profile of our products and services – driving technology leadership agenda versus our competitors.
  • Contributes towards creation of relevant value propositions for customer segments in accordance with the segment plans.
  • Works closely with Tender, RD&I, ISC, Procurement and other functions to ensure products are made available at the right place and at the right cost – provide insight and opportunities for cost improvement through their knowledge.

Experience

  • University degree in Chemistry or another related field is preferred.
  • 10+ yrs extensive working experience in commercial environment.
  • Ideally experience in more than 1 area of marketing and/or sales in additional to RD&I and/or supply chain.
  • Some work experience in a tech/tech service role is an advantage.
  • Analytical mind with good financial acumen.
