Job Purpose
Manage and Prioritize the technical requirement for Coil and/or Extrusion segment and take charge of new product development in accordance with marketing requirement, maintain or modify current product platform – (25%)
Provide technical supports to local business (sales & customer) requests and to daily production etc. / - (35%)
Communicate with cross functions and co-work with purchasing team to complete yearly VE projects – (20%)
Co-work with TS/sale/ to do the customer complain investigation - (20%)
Key Accountabilities
Plan and manage the technical requests for Coil and Extrusion segment according to business strategy for the segment. Set up proper priority and make sure those work to be executive according the plan.
Plan, manage and implement assigned complex projects through SG/SGE/LWR process with appropriate documents. Analyze the key technical points of project and determine the methods and techniques to be used for product development. Ensure RDI part of project is carried out smoothly with timely update and delivery of objectives on yearly basis.
Work closely with regional RD&I group and PS to develop new products, transfer new technology and products from lab testing to scale-up manufacturing and customer line trial.
Present to internal or external.
Maintain product portfolio and formulation optimization/modification based upon customer requirements.
Key Activities
Follow up and participate in audition of the procedure of new raw material introduction with complaints to AN policy and local regulatory. Maintain knowledge of current raw materials.
Work with purchasing and manufacture team to identify value creation opportunities. Assess the risk and conduct comparison lab test following up MOC procedure.
Verify formulation related customer complaints and make corrective and preventive actions accordingly.
Communicate actively with and provide technical support to other functions to ensure sharing of information to achieve business objectives. Ensure SOM/SOP of lab apparatus and equipment is available. Maintain lab 5s.
Ensure all activities in the area of responsibility are conducted under AkzoNobel HSE, ISO9000, internal quality standards, customer quality/performance requirements,
Experience
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Polymer
Proven track record of safe working habits.
Proven trouble shooting abilities.
Excellent organization, project and time management skills
Comfortable working independently and within groups. Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to deliver on plans.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work in a matrix organization.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.
Proficient in computer application
Minimum 3-5 years of technical experience in coating related industry.
Knowledge or experience of Coil Coatings is Preferred.
