Job Purpose

Ensure China Dulux Retail business objectives are met, support the strategy development and execution of including but not limited to Mass channel, HDC, and emerging small B2B through effective portfolio management and NPD.

 

Main objectives of this role are focusing on 4 aspects:

  1. Strategy Development and execution (10%):
  • Work closely with channel mangers and other stakeholders to keep updated and insight of related business.
  • Support to develop business plan in short/mid/long term for assigned product lines in owned channel / category to fit for Dulux brand and business strategy
  1. Portfolio management (35%):
  • Lead assigned product lines portfolio management to build strong and efficient portfolio to support business healthy growth.
  • Product lines daily work, pricing strategy and management with region/channel
  • SKU rationalization and closely monitor portfolio healthy check
  • Key contact window for assigned channel / category.
  1. NPD and Innovation (40%):
  • Identify new product opportunity and lead & execute NPD project with cross-function team to ensure NPD on time in full launch.
  • Build up know how and be close to the competitors, market new trends & innovations (ingredient, claims, business model)
  • Monitors NPD performance and external environment after launch and get insight/learnings to feedback for business impact and take corrective action if required to meet business objectives.
  1. Other assigned tasks (15%)

The position is expected to lead or support some assigned program

Key Accountabilities

Marketing Strategy Planning, Portfolio/NPD Development and Communication:

  • Support line manager to develop and manage product portfolio strategy and annual activities for assigned channel / category (i.e. Dulux emulsion interior LE segment, Dulux emulsion exterior and HDC channel)
  • Lead assigned channel / category product portfolio management to build strong and efficient portfolio to support business healthy growth
  • Develop the future NPD pipeline plan and launch new products as per plan in different channel.
  • Identify new product opportunities according to market trend to have quick response in NPD pilot launch if necessary

 

Others:

  • Be responsible for projects/programs assigned by line manger

Closely work with cross-functions and communicate to influence internal and external partners, e.g. sales, supply chain, R&D, research team, channel team, etc.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent above with business related majority. Minimum of 4-5 years brand marketing or product management background in multi-national company. Solid experience in product innovation and nice to have similar industry/channel working experiences.
  • Painting or building materials’ experience is highly preferred. 
  • Have good business sense and strategic thinking. Be creative. Strong ownership.
  • Be able to take leadership and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Be an effective team member and show supportive
  • Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English, and skillful in MS office.
