Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:
The Senior Accounting Analyst is expected to work autonomously, lead accounting processes, and provide technical support to the team in accordance with IFRS and internal policies.
Responsibilities:

Provide monthly account reconciliations and ensure that all income statements are clearly supported.

Reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies;
-
Identify process gaps, opportunities, and potential issues based on SLA deviations and performance indicators, anticipating risks and proposing improvements and corrective projects;

Solid knowledge of costing processes, COPA reconciliation and CO module;

Proactively propose new processes and projects aimed at the continuous improvement of accounting operations and related areas;

Implement global projects and procedures within the region;

Ensure monthly accounting closing and the generation of financial results within the deadlines and guidelines agreed upon with all involved areas;

Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external client areas, promoting cooperation across business units to standardize processes in line with financial department guidelines;

Support the professional development of analysts within the department, aligned with AkzoNobel's career development plan, with the goal of maximizing team performance;

Support internal and external audit processes.
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
-
Solid experience in the area;
-
CRC certification and Familiarity with IFRS;
-
Leadership skills in process and project management;
-
Fluence level in English is mandatory;
-
Intermediate level in Spanish is mandatory;
-
Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP;
-
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills;
-
Familiarity with MS Office, Power BI, and AI technologies.
