Job Purpose

Sequencing the released production and filling orders in the most optimal way for the production site, by minimizing change-over times while matching available capacity and taking into account raw material availability.

React to changes in the schedule and adjust the schedule while optimizing the cost to the site and minimizing the effect to the customer.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support production planning by converting the final plan into a feasible schedule for manufacturing.

  • Sequence process orders according to the agreed operational rules, including priority requests.

  • Monitor schedule execution, manage flow through the factory and take countermeasures where necessary.

  • Ensure administrative readiness (printing labels, stickers, lists, etc. where applicable).

  • Safeguard system hygiene by ensuring correct closure of production phases, proper consumption of materials, and accurate maintenance of start/finish dates. Take appropriate actions when needed (e.g. inventory corrections, master data adjustments).

  • Identify and react to schedule changes. Align with Manufacturing and Planning to agree on revised schedules and mitigation actions.

  • Support production in stock taking and cycle counting.

  • Actively participate in MDI meetings, raise risks and execute actions.

  • Continuously improve Scheduling processes and contribute to process maturity.

  • Provide information and analyses when required.

Job requirements

  • Vocational level (MBO) with several years of experience in a similar position.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

  • Focus on processes and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to think in possibilities and solutions.
