AkzoNobel incorporates Solutions R&D teams with global responsibility for the composition, formulation, and specifications of Automotive and Specialty Coatings products. 
Within one of these teams, we have an open position for a Recipe Administrator.

Your main mission in this role as a recipe administrator is communicating with recipe owners and rest of the team, assist them for the maintenance of significant part of the product portfolio of VR/CV and Aero (If needed) products as well as creating new databases for the new products.

Key Accountabilities

  • To enter, maintain and analyze the data into the R&D data systems including oneSAP, Optiva, RB specialisten, execute reports necessary for R&D personnel, in line with the department and functional standards. 
  • Serves as recipe administrator towards production for significant part of product portfolio. Both local and international.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, complies with safety policies and procedures. Follows safe work practices for personal and equipment safety. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment;
  • Works according to quality standards as set by Lab management (for example ISO 9001);
  • Can be deployed flexibly throughout the organization;
  • Feasible and timely development according to business needs;
  • Correct use of methodologies and tools;
  • Asks appropriate questions to clarify requirements, expectations and critical performance parameters;
  • Know how to work with databases and assist the personnel accordingly.

Key Activities

  • Keeps recipes, IPs and processes up to date in the databases.
  • Responsible for keep up to date of the QC-Masterdatafiles
  • Assists R&D personnel for obtaining the right reports on time from the databases.
  • Responsible for obtaining the right mutations of the recipes for production.
  • Attend regularly to admin overleg meetings and performs the actions listed in the meetings at his responsibility.
  • Switch quickly the best possible solution and (dare to) decide based on the obtained data and move forward;
  • Executes reports and databases in agreement with project leader/recipe owner. Reports outcome back to project leader/recipe owner


To apply for this position, you should possess the following attributes:

  • Technical/Nontechnical education in relevant field, chemistry, chemical technology or IT. Preferable experience in databases and softwares. 
  • Ideally you have knowledge and experience of Paints a/o Coatings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal Dutch and English;
