Job Purpose

You will contribute to business projects supporting the AkzoNobel enterprise strategy of Grow & Deliver. The position will be in the Global Information Management Center of Expertise (CoE IM). With the ambition to harmonize and simplify you will play a crucial role in strategic projects to make this happen across multiple SAP ERP systems.

As solution architect and project consultant you will have a level of autonomy in organizing your own work and as you will be working mainly with e-invoicing, e-tax and vat solutions that are integrated with our SAP products. We provide opportunities to deepen and expand your knowledge by training, coaching and the variety of subjects to work on.  

This job is a combined role of Solution Architect and Project Consultant with a focus on e-invoicing/e-Tax and VAT solutions. You will keep track of the latest developments related to tax related functionality and applications and advice senior management on steps to take to utilize new functionality within our organization. You will have an active role in further defining of our future AkzoNobel e-invoicing/e-Tax related application landscape.

As Solution Architect you will be responsible to translate functional requirements into a solution and describing it through architecture and designs. The architecture and designs are expected to be in line with business processes and architectural standards, guidelines & roadmaps. As a Project Consultant you will be responsible for delivery and solution realization and enabling the execution of projects, managed by the project manager. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for project execution and major / complex change development in the area of e-invoicing, e-tax and vat.
  • Support the finance business initiatives in their strategy to harmonize and simplify processes in SAP
  • Create functional design documents
  • Execute training to project consultants, solution architects and key user community
  • Knowledge transfer to operational support organization and business teams
  • Assist and execute test cycles
  • Alignment with other functional domains
  • Oversee new innovations and test new functionality during proof of concepts or pilots.
  • Ensure deadlines are met.
  • Identify business opportunities and ensure internal customer satisfaction.
  • Present project achievements to the Center of Expertise, contribute to knowledge sharing
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate and align with the finance function

You are communicative and supportive to our IM and business teams and are secure and organized in the execution of finance projects within complex SAP environments. Pro-active advice on new functionality, eager to learn and independent in the plan and execution of work would be very much valued. Required skills

  • Strong SAP configuration skills in the SD and FI area. 
  • Understanding sales processes and the implications for finance and specifically in the area of tax
  • Ambition to learn and build up knowledge of our e-invoicing and (e-)tax solutions such as Sovos, Meridian and various local solutions
  • Detailed country specific tax knowledge is not required, but is beneficial to have
  • Results-driven and ability to handle multiple projects. 
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. 
  • Understands sensitivity and security questions around financial data. 
  • Able to act in a complex multinational environment. 
  • Good communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal and time-management skill

Preferred skills 

  • Skills in SAP FI and SAP SD configuration related to e-invoicing, e-tax and vat


Relevant experience  

  • Implementation experience in SAP SD and FI and integrations between them
  • Experience with tax and vat processes and their configuration in SAP
  • Experience with integration topics
  • Experience in a solution architect or project consultant position or similar role is required
  • Work in an agile environment
  • Expressing deep and broad knowledge of architecture, IT security, (technology) platforms and business processes for the specific functional domain and with (comparable) business environments 
  • Solid solution architecture experience with business process modeling and/or infrastructure / application architecture design frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies


Educational qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in business management, finance, business informatics or related field
