In short (purpose of the job)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Improvement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and defining the value chain network, initiating, and driving required business improvements, and optimizing supply chain performance. The Supply Chain Improvement Manager will also manage commercialization activities for new product introductions (NPIs) and sourcing allocations.
Key Objectives of the Job:
• Analyze and define business improvements and projects to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
• Drive Supply Chain improvements in Business projects / Lighthouse and M&A
• Secure that customer service offers are defined and secured in the end-to-end supply chain
• Optimize supply chain performance and balance inventory, lot-sizes, lead-time, etc.
• Master data support / maintenance for planning teams
• Manage commercialization activities for NPI and sourcing allocations
Key responsibilities
• Work on continuous supply chain assessment and benchmarking to identify business improvement opportunities.
• Analyse and define business improvements and projects to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
• Prepare customer service offers and translate them into replenishment models.
• Support delivering BU supply chain KPIs in the region.
• Provide support to assist the BU Supply Chain Director when issues are raised.
• Work with the regional planning teams and liaise with the central Master Data teams and System Support Experts on master data update to ensure ERP system runs accurately.
• Manage NPIs into the Supply Chain
• Lead preparation of Buy vs. MAKE decisions and capital investment requests for approved NPI activities.
• Work closely with planning and manufacturing functions to ensure innovations are timely and cost-efficiently introduced into the markets.
• Execute product costing and include options for the marketing teams as part of the overall NPI stage-gate process.
• Lead projects for compliance, cost savings, and complexity reduction
• Perform network modelling to support sourcing decisions and complexity impact analysis.
• Take care of third-party manufacturing sourcing and contracting
• Work closely with Technical / RD&I, Marketing, and Commercial functions to ensure speed to market in new production introductions via the Stage Gate process.
• Participate and contribute to the related IBP Product Management Review process
What do you bring (job requirements)
• At least 8 years in Supply Chain function; strong experience in operations, planning, and good hands-on exposure to IT/ERP related projects
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Science, or Engineering
• APICS certified
• Strong knowledge and experience with SAP preferred
• Strong project management skills and deadline accountability
• Functional excellence & credibility to drive the organization forward
• Ability to operate effectively across different cultures and functions
• Good communication skills, strong command in English
• Awareness and compliance with general HSE requirements
• Ability to travel 15-25% of the time
