About the role

As a Material Planner, you are responsible for planning raw materials and packaging materials to ensure the production plan can be executed without disruption. You will work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and suppliers to secure material availability, manage inventory, and balance service, cost, and working capital objectives.

This role requires a solid understanding of MRP-driven planning, supplier capacity constraints, and manufacturing flexibility within a complex supply chain environment. You will actively manage exceptions, support performance reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site and supply network.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan raw materials and packaging to ensure production can run as scheduled.
  • Create purchase orders and communicate material availability and timelines to production teams.
  • Monitor material plans over the short and mid-term, taking supplier and storage limitations into account.
  • Work closely with suppliers and procurement to secure reliable supply and address availability issues.
  • Balance material availability with inventory levels and cost considerations.
  • Identify and reduce excess, slow-moving, or obsolete materials.
  • Provide analyses and scenario insights to support planning decisions when needed.
  • Ensure planning data is accurate and kept up to date in the system.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and other planning teams to align priorities and resolve issues.

Job requirements

  • Relevant education in Supply Chain
  • Preferable first work experience in Supply Chain Planning
  • Experience in working with SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to, perform accurate analyses, and translate outcomes into actions
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong mindset for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work  in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English and ideally in Spanish
