Let's paint the picture of the role
The goal of the Support Center Logistics (SCL) department is to achieve a consistent customer experience (service, quality, costs) through continuous improvement of logistics processes. SCL is a logistics administrative department and responsible for correspondence regarding customer needs (supply chain), distribution activities and transport.
The primary process of SCL consists of responsibly planning orders/deliveries and meeting customer requirements. A balanced workload must be found between Operations, LSP, SCL and transport companies.
Another primary process of SCL is monitoring and supporting daily activities at LSP warehouse in Genk, Belgium.
The Logistics Coordinator will ensure the requirements of the Customer service and Order Sales desks in Europe, Supply Planning (Intercompany) and Export markets are met, and that the OTIF performance of DCs and the transport carriers is in line with Service Level Agreements and company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Execute the order processing on time and in an effective and efficient way within the standard norms and procedures.
- Order transport and create transport documents within the standard norms and procedures.
- Book goods issue within the standard norms and procedures and solving irregularities.
- Executes customs declarations. Coordinating and managing all regional import and export processes.
- Is all-round and multiple deployable between modalities (sea, road, air)
- Troubleshooting in case of issues with shipments.
- Maintain contact with forwarders, customer service c.q. order entry departments about processed orders.
- Investigating transport and documentation related complaints and come with a solution to prevent the complaints from happening again.
- Arrange return shipments, track and trace these shipments and solving irregularities.
- Active role in the management daily improvement (MDI) meeting with the goal to improve the co-operation with operations and to improve efficiency within the SCL department.
- Creating and analysing weekly OTIF reports with the goal to ensure a high delivery performance.
- Successfully complete the ADR awareness training.
- Successfully complete the IATA training and check airfreight shipments for correctness before loading.
- Play an active role in behaviour-based safety (BBS) observations.
- Logs calls related to IT issues in My service portal.
- Monitor processes and supports information for outsourced operation at LSP warehouse.
- Registers and updates shipment in planning database.
What do you bring?
- MBO+ thinking / working level
- Experience within customer service and administration or Supply Planning.
- Experience in warehousing, transport and customs
- Specific knowledge in export processes and export documentation
- Experience with SAP or other ERP system
- Experience in shipping hazardous material is pre
- Accurate
- Pro-active
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work within time constraints and excellent personal organization
- Excellent communication skills (English & Dutch - understanding, speaking and writing)
- Team player
